Kriegsspiel, of course, simply means Wargame. But wargames take so many different forms today from computer games to paint ball shooting that I think it is useful to retain the Kriegsspiel description for games which fall into a certain type so that we may know what we are talking about. |

The battle of Peover Eye was a free kriegsspieled TEWT designed and umpired by Paddy Griffith. Set around an imaginary Fenian invasion of Cheshire the game was played outside in the Cheshire countryside on a pleasant morning and followed by a debrief in a nearby Pub. The article contains briefings, a sketch map of the battle some photos of the terrain and after action reports.
